Code of Conduct — Life Hope
Effective Date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
Last Updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
1. Introduction
This Code of Conduct ("Code") sets out the rules of behavior that all members of Life Hope agree to follow. By becoming a member of Life Hope LLC ("Life Hope"), a Utah Private Membership Organization that operates the Life Hope private membership platform (the "Life Hope Platform"), you agree to comply with this Code in full.
This Code works together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Member Agreement. All four documents together govern your participation in the Life Hope Platform.
2. The Foundation: Passive Solicitation
Life Hope operates on a principle of passive solicitation.
Passive solicitation means displaying your Life Hope membership badge visibly but quietly — like wearing a name tag, a button, or a sticker. People who notice it may choose to scan your QR code. People who don't notice it walk past without any interaction. You do not direct attention to your badge, ask people to scan it, or engage anyone in conversation about it.
This is what makes Life Hope different from traditional street solicitation. It is what protects you legally and what protects the platform. Every rule in this Code flows from this principle.
3. Required Member Behavior
When wearing or displaying your Life Hope membership badge in public, you agree to:
- Display your badge visibly but passively — pin it on your clothing, hang it from a lanyard, or place it in a clearly visible spot. Do not point at it, hold it up to people, or wave it around.
- Allow people to engage on their own initiative — let people approach, look, and scan if they choose. Do not initiate the interaction.
- Be respectful and brief in any acknowledgment — if someone scans your code or speaks to you, a simple "thank you" is appropriate. Do not extend the conversation or solicit further.
- Comply with all local laws governing your presence in public spaces, including laws regarding loitering, camping, public order, and trespass.
- Respect the instructions of property owners — if you are on private property and the owner asks you to leave, leave promptly.
- Maintain physical distance from individuals — do not approach closer than a comfortable conversational distance, and do not enter anyone's personal space without invitation.
4. Prohibited Behavior
You agree NOT to engage in any of the following behaviors while displaying or wearing a Life Hope badge:
4.1 Active Solicitation

5. Truthfulness Requirements
Your member profile must be truthful and accurate. You agree that:

- Your name as listed on your account is your real legal name
- Your contact information (email, phone, address) is current and accurate

You agree to promptly update your profile if any of the above changes materially.

6. Reporting Violations
6.1 How to Report
If you witness or experience a violation of this Code by a Life Hope member, please report it to:
Use the subject line "Code of Conduct Report" to help us route your message efficiently.
Please include:
- Date, time, and location of the incident
- A description of what happened
- The member's name or LH account number, if known
- Your contact information (so we can follow up if needed)
- Any supporting evidence (photographs, video, witness contacts), if available
Reports may be submitted by members, by individuals who encountered a member in public, or by anyone else with relevant information.
6.2 Anonymity and Retaliation
You may report violations anonymously, though anonymous reports may be harder to investigate. Life Hope will not retaliate against any member who reports a suspected violation in good faith.
6.3 Confidentiality
To the extent possible, Life Hope will keep the identity of reporters confidential. In some cases (such as cooperation with law enforcement), confidentiality may not be possible.
7. Enforcement
7.1 Discretionary Enforcement
Life Hope investigates reported violations and determines appropriate action at its sole discretion. Enforcement is not a fixed ladder — Life Hope considers each situation on its merits.
7.2 Factors Considered
In determining the appropriate response to a violation, Life Hope considers:
- Severity of the alleged violation
- Intent of the member (accidental, negligent, or deliberate)
- Pattern of behavior (first incident vs. repeated violations)
- Harm caused to other members, to the public, or to Life Hope's reputation
- Member's response to inquiry (cooperation vs. denial or evasion)
- Member's history of prior compliance or violations
- Evidence available (witness accounts, photographs, video, documents)
- Legal implications (whether the conduct potentially violates applicable law)
7.3 Possible Actions
Depending on the factors above, Life Hope may take one or more of the following actions:
- Written warning with member education on the Code of Conduct
- Temporary suspension of membership privileges for a defined period
- Pause on payouts pending investigation
- Permanent termination of membership
- Forfeiture of pending transfers (returned to supporting members or retained by Life Hope)
- Referral to law enforcement for conduct that violates applicable law
- Civil action to recover damages or enforce contractual obligations
7.4 Final Determination
Life Hope's enforcement determinations are final. Members may submit a single written appeal within 14 days of being notified of an enforcement action. The appeal will be reviewed and a final decision communicated within 30 days. After Life Hope's final decision, no further appeals are available.
7.5 No Refund of Service Fees
Service fees previously paid to Life Hope are non-refundable, regardless of any enforcement action.
8. Serious Violations
The following violations are considered especially serious and typically result in immediate permanent termination, regardless of prior history:
- Physical assault or threats of physical harm
- Sexual harassment or assault
- Fraud or identity theft
- Use of Life Hope to facilitate illegal activity
- Repeated aggressive solicitation after warning
- Endangering minors or other vulnerable persons
- Doxxing, stalking, or coordinated harassment of any person
- Coordinated abuse with other members against any person or against Life Hope
For these violations, Life Hope may also pursue any available civil or criminal remedies, including reporting to law enforcement.
9. Member's Own Legal Responsibility
This Code of Conduct does not relieve members of their own legal responsibility for their conduct. If a member engages in conduct that violates local, state, or federal law, the member remains solely responsible for the legal consequences of that conduct. Life Hope is not responsible for any criminal charges, civil claims, fines, or other legal consequences that result from a member's conduct.
A member's violation of this Code may also constitute a violation of applicable law, but compliance with this Code does not guarantee compliance with applicable law. Members are responsible for knowing and following the laws of the jurisdictions in which they display their badge.
10. Updates to This Code
Life Hope may update this Code from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Code on the Life Hope website and updating the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the Life Hope Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Code.
